The North Face
Who doesn’t know the North Face brand? Its fundamental mission remains unchanged since 1966—to provide the best apparel and gear for athletes and the modern-day explorer, to support the preservation of the outdoors, and to inspire a global movement to discover adventure in life.
When the company went public, we were asked to design an annual report that would communicate the corporate culture, and at the same time, demonstrate the rock-solid business model that continues to build brand value on a global basis.
Our design featured stunning real-life photography of the products in use to demonstrate how The North Face performance products excel in extreme conditions. The story explained how the brand commanded top-of-mind awareness in high-growth outdoor-enthusiast markets ranging from a Mount Everest climb to surviving a cold San Francisco summer.
