Cooking Utensils Needed:
large mixing bowl
small bowl
measuring cups
measuring spoons
baking sheets
wax paper

Ingredients:
1 cup salted butter, softened
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups old-fashioned oatmeal
1 1/4 cup white flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups chocolate chips

Fun Stuff

Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream (combine) butter and brown sugar together until smooth.
  3. Beat eggs into mixture one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Combine the rest of the dry ingredients in the small bowl and stir slightly with a fork.
  5. Slowly add dry ingredients into the
    creamed mixture.
  6. While singing a happy tune, pour chocolate chips into mixture and stir again.
  7. Drop heaping spoonfuls of mixture onto a cookie sheet lined with wax paper.
  8. Bake cookies for 12 minutes, or until
    golden brown.
  9. Let cookies cool for 5 minutes on the cookie sheet before moving to a wire rack.
  10. Eat.
