Michael Patrick Partners Receives Six Design Awards From National Competition Palo Alto Design Firm Adds to Its Complement of More than 300 Design Awards PALO ALTO, CA, September 8, 2004 Michael Patrick Partners (MPP) of Palo Alto was awarded six Certificates of Excellence from the 2004 American Graphic Design Awards in New York—an annual competition sponsored by Graphic Design usa. The firm received four individual awards for its annual report design and two more for branded print collateral projects. Awards were given to annual reports the firm had recently completed for: Cholestech of Hayward, CA, provider of diagnostic tools for healthcare; Kosan Biosciences of Hayward, CA, a biotechnology company; Pacific Sunwear of Anaheim, CA, specialty retailer of casual apparel for active teens and young adults; and Plantronics of Santa Cruz, CA, designer, manufacturer, and marketer of lightweight communication headsets for business and personal use. The two branded collateral projects singled out for design excellence included a corporate capability brochure for Digital Lightwave of Clearwater, FL; and another capability brochure for TIBCO of Palo Alto—both projects were components of new branded identity systems. “I’m not surprised that Michael Patrick Partners continues to ring up the design awards.
